To promote dialogue about current leadership topics, the Leadership Initiative creates opportunities to come together.  On a quarterly basis county leaders are invited to participate in the "Leadership Network" -- inspiring and relevant presentations on cutting edge leadership notions & practices from renowned, top-notch speakers.  Events are held in the Board Chambers.

As a "Leader" your Ongoing Support
of Other Leaders in Progress

As a Facilitator:  After participating in the Leadership Initiative program, Leaders are encouraged to consider facilitating one or more of the Leadership Initiative sessions.  An informative session called “Facilitator Recruitment” is offered several times per year where you can learn all that is involved in facilitating these sessions.

As a Mentor: Current, successful Riverside County leaders are asked to consider becoming a mentor to a county employee who desires a long time career with the County.  Mentors fulfill a special relationship and role with their protégés to help guide their on-the-job learning and careers.  Learn more on ..... Mentoring!

As a Coach:  Performance coaching is a way for individuals to develop numerous competencies through regular sessions with their coach. What is coaching? A coach helps someone with tools, knowledge and opportunities to fully develop themselves to be effective in their commitments to themselves, to their organization, and to their work.  Several Leadership Initiative “graduates” have been trained as coaches and are available to help guide others in their personal and professional development.
