The Crucial Conversations Communications Assessment

There are two ways to assess Crucial Conversations skills and preferred modes of communication which fall along the Silence to Violence continuum:

1 -- Individually, one can respond about themselves and tabulate an effectiveness score in each Crucial Conversations skill area.

2 -- The second level assessment is a 360° assessment where, just like with the Voices® assessment, the “learner” chooses people to respond about them in each of the Crucial Conversations skill areas. A Crucial Conversations report is compiled and the “learner” receives feedback about how others perceive the effectiveness of their communication strategies and behaviors.

Believing effective communications is a keystone competency, participation in the Leadership Initiative requires successfully completing a two day Crucial Conversations training. Throughout this training, each of the skill areas are learned and practiced.
